🌸 Combination possibilities
Different effects are obtained through different combinations:
- Subtle shine in a thin layer over builder gel, acrygel, or gel polish
- More intense effect when used as a builder color base to strengthen the apex
- The mix of larger and smaller flakes together with reflective particles in semi-transparent color bases is a perfect choice for effects that are both subtle and striking.
For these color bases, we recommend always using DuraGel 1 Step clear base so that during refill and removal of glitter, you don’t have to file down to the natural nail.
Duragel Gel Polish Color Base
With a self-leveling consistency that speeds up the application process. The color base is harder, yet flexible enough for gel polish and the natural movement of nails.
Usage:
Prepare the nail by pushing back or removing excess cuticle.
Shape the natural nail and prep with a file (not a buffer!), apply Nail Prep & Scrub dehydrator and Magic Airbond.
Apply Duragel step 1 if desired, rub it well into the nail and seal the edges. Cure, then continue with the chosen color base by first applying a slip layer rubbed into the nail (do not cure), and then build the apex with a second bead at the desired spot to strengthen the nail.
👉 Curing time is 90 seconds, only in combi UV/LED lamps with a minimum power of 48 W.
After curing, if there are any minor imperfections, you can cleanse the base and gently file with a file or buffer.
Apply color and top coat, or leave just the color base and finish with top coat.

As color bases for gel polish – with or without apex building (we recommend building an apex and adding an extra layer for more strength)
As standalone colors – soft, elegant, and long-lasting
As a base for French – for a perfectly neat and refined look
As soft semi-transparent shades – applied over builder gel or acrygel for a natural, elegant impression.

- In one layer over gel – for a sheer, soft color effect
- In two layers – for stronger coverage and a more intense look
